Should Nato have been abolished after the collapse of Soviet Union?

I thought of that as well and that is a good point, i believe in self defence and all but i dont think the world needs nato anymore to be secure. europe had it happen to them twice in the same century i dont think they'll make the same mistake again. it is natural instinc that they'll all rise up to a russian threat.
